About

Hi, I'm Maja (pronounced My-ah).

My teenage self found graphic design early in high school, where I spent (too much of) my time designing GIF sets and fan-made graphics for online Tumblr communities. Generating on average 100K+ notes across posts taught me an early lesson in how fandoms move and how design travels through them. My career so far has taken me to the Director's Guild of Canada, where I've worked as an Assistant Art Director on TV shows in Toronto, covering everything from administration and distribution to creating graphics that get featured in direct camera shots.

Outside of film, I screenprint, illustrate, design for friends and small businesses, and rip Pokémon packs. I'm currently open to new opportunities in design and illustration, and am especially interested in working with packaging, brand identity, and print.
